Course Information
Description
Brains and machine-learning models are radically different kinds of systems, but both produce complex behavior through interactions distributed across enormous numbers of elements. They are difficult to see, challenging to describe, and especially tricky to represent across scales. This workshop asks what becomes visible when we map these systems alongside one another, without pretending that they work in the same way.
We’ll look at LLMs, brains, and other systems of distributed intelligence, asking how they respond to questions about space, meaning, power, and landscape.
