Course Information

Description

This course is our MMSc programmatic class to track the completed required credits for the thesis project under the supervision of the Harvard University faculty member. Students will choose their thesis advisor and establish a project in the fall semester of Year 1. They are expected to spend 16-20 months conducting a laboratory-based thesis project. Students will conduct mini-rotations consisting of meeting with up to 3 PIs, talking with lab members, and attending 1-2 lab meetings. Students will receive 14 credits for this course.  Each semester a specific set of scaffolded requirements must be completed, and pre-determined thesis project/lab-research milestones have to be met, resulting in a Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grade. This course is the third of four thesis courses that capture the progress made in the Thesis lab and research experiments.
