TIBET 300

Course Information

Description

The Saṃdhinirmocanasūtra deals arguably in part with a theory about the history of Buddhist thought. Written by the Korean monk Wŏnch’ŭk, this monumental work was translated into Tibetan in the ninth century and is occasionally cited in the later Tibetan literature. In this course, we will read several excerpts from it using the Chinese text and the Tibetan translation.
