Description

Under the guidance of a research sponsor, students explore and develop an interest in a relevant special field of either biomedical science or health care delivery research. Students learn how to read and evaluate scientific literature; gather data and subject it to critical analysis; and develop abilities in scientific communication. During the research component of the curriculum, students strive to make a genuine contribution to the scientific literature. This culminates in the presentation and defense of a research thesis by the end of the fourth year.
