Laboratory Research on Culture, Technology, and the Mind
PSY 2650R

Course Information

Description

In this lab course, students will participate in research on how culture and technology shape the mind and vice versa. Students will learn about methods such as experiments, cross-cultural surveys, natural language processing, archival data analysis, and computer simulations of human behavior. They will work alongside a graduate student or post-doctoral fellow to apply these methods to test original research questions. Weekly lab meetings will engage students in thinking about the lifecycle of a scientific idea, from ideation to study design, to conference presentation and publication.
