Course Information

Description

The goals of this lecture series are to give the orthodontic advanced graduate education student an overview of the issues that they will be facing after graduation and to give them a foundation on areas that are typically not reviewed o a day to day basis in the residency program.  Often times the days are filled with didactic lessons about bone biology, mechanics, statistics, research projects and of course diagnosis and treatment planning.  All of these lessons, of course, are very valuable and important in your profession but there is a whole area about how to run your practice, dealing with staffing situations and finances that will be addressed in this course.

After I graduated from HSDM in 2002, I had a lot of free time that used to be filled up with reading textbooks, writing up treatment plans and preparing course work for the days and weeks ahead during residency.  To fill up my free time I developed an affinity for watching television shows and movies.  I have a great appreciation for story-telling and there are a number of shows that I really enjoyed.   I believe that everyone has a story to tell.  Here is my take on how your story parallels some of the greatest shows ever on television!
