The course is open to advanced musicians, orchestral instrumentalists and pianists.
Recommended Prep
The course is open to advanced conductors, orchestral instrumentalists, singers, and pianists. See below the specific requirements: For all participants – advanced musicianship. For conductors – experience in conducting, advanced instrumental skills. For singers – participants should be engaged in classical vocal studies and preferably have some experience with Italian opera. For pianists – advanced skills, some experience accompanying singers recommended. Instrumentalists and singers who want to take the class and learn more about Don Giovanni and Mozart’s operas, but don’t want the pressure of weekly podium time and prefer a lighter conducting component, can take the class Sat/Unsat and they may be assigned some special projects to fulfill the class requirements.
