Course Information

Description

The Healthcare Finance and Value course is designed to expose you to financial management concepts and uses. The sessions are devoted to the development of a basic knowledge of cost accounting, differential analysis, and alternative choice decision making. The course places particular emphasis on the practical application of the concepts covered in health care settings.

Because health care institutions have lagged far behind industry in understanding their costs, there is a pressing need for people who are familiar with those concepts in managerial, operational, quality and policy settings. A goal of this course is to provide that basic familiarity.
