Course Information

Description

The main goal of this course is to help you develop fluency and confidence in reading texts from the Hebrew Bible in their original language. To this end, we will focus on reading selected narrative passages from the Bible, paying attention primarily to vocabulary, morphology, and syntax. We will also systematically review the most common vocabulary found in the Hebrew Bible as well as various aspects of grammar covered in first-year Hebrew. In addition, some attention will be given to how Hebrew narrative functions as a literary genre.
