Description

This course introduces students to the theology and the practice of preaching within the Christian liturgical tradition, though students of any religious tradition or training - and of none - are welcome. Special attention will be paid to developing a theological, rhetorical, and homiletical understanding of both the preacher and the preached word, and students will be expected to prepare and deliver several sermons during the course of the term. This is a limited enrollment course. Interested students should email the instructor by April 10, 2024. The email should briefly state the student's reasons for their interest in the course, their academic program, and their anticipated graduation date. Notifications of placement will be shared by Monday, April 15.
