Description
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) are tools that must be leveraged to support students with (dis)abilities in the classroom, but how do we translate than plan into practice? In this course, we will leverage case-based problem solving to tackle dilemmas that arise when teaching students with a diverse range of academic, functional, social, and emotional needs. We will leverage asset-based pedagogies to help disrupt the potential for lowered expectations of students with (dis)abilities while tackling how to respond to the actual day-to-day needs of our students. You will also have multiple opportunities to share your own problems of practice and walk away with tangible frameworks and tools to support your students.
