Description
Dental education is rapidly expanding with the frequent release of new publications and guidelines published by dental schools across the United States. As future leaders of dental education, it is important to know how to communicate effectively as a leader. We will focus on advanced public speaking techniques, effective communication, connecting with an audience and persuasion. Students will identify strengths and areas for improvement in their own communication style, while learning how to adapt their message for a variety of audiences. Throughout the semester lectures include a focus on presentation skills, language, narratives, vocal variation, techniques for persuasion and effective communication in the workplace.
